The common misconception- it's not (glossi-err). It's pronouced (glossi-yay). If you have never heard of this brand, they are the O.G. and reigning queen of natural makeup as well as skincare. In 2014, Emily Weiss created a little blog called "Into the Gloss". Now the brand, known as Glossier is worth 1.8 billion dollars.
Not only are Glossier products aesthetically pleasing but some are very well worth the hype. As someone who has visited Glossier's Seattle, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Manhattan stores as well as being an avid Glossier online shopper, I have collected... let's say a collection. In honor of Sephora carrying the brand in stores this week, here is my list of products worth the SPLURGE and the others you can pass on and SAVE.
Let's start with my fave:
Cloud Paint ($20)

-SPLURGE!!
-Lasts all day, pigmented, many shades, I've had it for almost 4 years (a little goes a long way).
-Yes, there may be dupes but none come close to the creamy, buildable, and blend-able formula.
-Beautiful on all skin tones, if you have a medium complexion and yellow undertones like me, Beam and Haze are my go-tos.
-Set of 2 for $33 (Get a summer and a winter shade!)
Skin Tint ($26)

-SAVE!!
-Very very very sheer.
-Not very buildable, the more layers you put on the more you have a milky residue on your face.
-Better drug store alternatives or other products for the price.
-If you want more coverage but not as heavy as foundations, look for a tinted moisturizer (with SPF 😉).
Ultralip ($18)

-SPLURGE!!
-The perfect mix of color and sheerness!
-Sometimes lipstick can be too much but this is the perfect in between of keeping your lips moisturized but colorful.
-Vast array of shades.
-Worth the expense, no drugstore lipstick compares to this!
-I love the shade Villa.
Lash Slick ($18)

-SAVE!!
-As much as I love this mascara, there are more affordable alternatives.
-Comes in black and brown- brown makes brown eyes POP.
-Elongates and separates lashes, just doesn't keep them curled. (My thick Asian lashes didn't stand a chance).
-If you already have curled lashes- this would work great!
-It does wash easily off which is great for sensitive eyes, but not so good if you're a frequent crier.
Super Bounce ($29)

-SPLURGE!!
-Only on Super Bounce 😙
-Super Pure (left), Super Bounce (middle), Super Glow (right).
-Super milky and refreshing.
-I used it religiously during quarantine and need to re-buy ASAP!
-The hyaluronic acid did wonders for smoothing my skin texture and brightness.
-The other serums... SAVE!!
Balm Dotcom ($14)

-SPLURGE!!
-My first Glossier product I purchased in 2019!
-100% worth the hype.
-I have SO many lip balms but always come back to this.
-Many yummy flavors and tints.
-Only issue I had was the oil separating- which they fixed with a new formula as well as leak free caps with the new packaging!
-Best flavor... in my opinion is BIRTHDAY or CHERRY. (they discontinued her 💔 rip)
Glossier You Perfume ($64)

-SAVE/SPLURGE
-Very unique scent- kind of florally and sweet??
-Expensive for a small(ish) bottle of 1.7 fl oz.
-Long lasting, still on my clothes when I stole some of my sister 🤭.
-Overpowering after smelling too much for me.
-Honestly depends what scents you favor- outdoorsy or sweet like candy.
-Smell for yourself at a Glossier store or Sephora!
